Business Objects SA has released BusinessObjects Performance Manager, the next phase of the company’s enterprise performance management strategy. Performance Manager provides goal management, scorecarding capabilities and guided analysis of metrics. It offers a wizard-driven workflow environment for defining, modifying and distributing goals based on an employee’s role. Users can set tolerance levels, giving an accepted margin on the desired target. Content manager features e-mail scanning

Computer Associates International Inc. has announced eTrust Secure Content Management, a solution for protecting organizations from the dangers of the Internet, including viruses, spam and unacceptable uses of the Web by employees. The content manager features integrated policy management; customizable, policy-based scanning of e-mail and Web traffic; a user accept/decline feature; customizable word/string search and alerting; and a content management reporting interface. www.ca.com

Nemx adds concept management

Nemx Software Corp. has added new features to its Power Tools anti-spam software to meet the need of enterprises to have multiple lines of defence against spam. The software now has a concept management component, which uses natural language processing to better understand the concept of the message, according to the company. There is also a content manager, reverse blacklist technology, a signature maker and address manager, and a virus manager. www.nemx.com
