IT spending projections down in December

CIOs surveyed last month predicted that IT spending would grow by just 6.7 per cent during the next 12 months, down from the 8.4 per cent growth rate they had predicted in November, according to the latest CIO Magazine Tech Poll, which was released Monday.

Microsoft readies Windows Server 2003 R2 beta

This first beta test is scheduled to start this month, but will be limited to about 1,000 specially selected testers, a Microsoft spokeswoman said. A second, public beta is planned for the first half of next year, she said.
