TD has indeed built a social business in the past few years. When I spoke to bank executives at IBM Lotusphere in January 2012, they told me that one of their key concerns was retaining control over the social network, having something “inside the firewall.”Social media and social business are two different things, in fact, and TD seems to have figured out the difference early on.
