United launches Canadian Internet service

Untied Airlines last month introduced a new Web site, specifically for Canadians. The new site, at www.united.ca, enables Canadians to book and purchase their tickets in Canadian dollars, earn frequent flyer miles, get real-time Mileage Plus summary information, make reservations with hotels and car rental companies, and even register for the airline’s EasyAccess Proactive Paging Service. The site also features some special promotions with MasterCard, including the ability to earn up to 35,000 additional bonus miles when visitors pay with their MasterCard, and the ability to win two free first class tickets to virtually anywhere in the world. The Web site is the Canadian version of the airline’s U.S. site.
