Baan creates global sales organization

Baan Co. NV has rolled its regional sales offices into one global sales organization, in an effort to better service multinational customers, the company said Monday.

The new organization will be headed by Susan Heystee, former president of Baan Americas, the Barneveld, Netherlands, enterprise software vendor said in a statement. No jobs will be cut as a result of the reorganization, a Baan spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Baan, a part of London-based Invensys PLC, sells enterprise resource planning software for manufacturers in specific industries. The company sells directly to large customers with annual revenue of over US$250 million and has channel partners for smaller accounts.
