Adobe font software

Adobe Systems Incorporated has announced the immediate availability of Adobe Type Manager (ATM) Deluxe 4.6 for Macintosh, the newest version of the company’s font management utility. ATM Deluxe 4.6 adds support for OpenType, a cross-platform font format developed jointly by Microsoft Corporation and Adobe, and is fully compatible with Mac OS 8.1 through Mac OS 9. ATM Deluxe 4.6 features a drag-and-drop interface that allows users to group PostScript(R) Type 1, OpenType and TrueType fonts to create custom font sets. By allowing this level of customization, users have the ability to activate and deactivate individual fonts and font sets, significantly reducing the length of font menus and saving system overhead. ATM Deluxe 4.6 also comes bundled with Adobe Type Reunion(R) Deluxe 2.6, which allows users to simplify font menus and gain easier access to fonts. The complete ATM Deluxe 4.6 package includes the ATM Deluxe 4.6 font management software, Adobe Type Reunion Deluxe 2.6, a set of 15 display fonts, Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0, and the AdobePS 8.7 printer driver. The software is available in 10 languages and can be purchased through Adobe’s standard distribution channels and online directly at: www.adobe.com/products/atm/main.html for US $69. Upgrade pricing for registered users of previous versions of ATM Deluxe for Macintosh (version 4.0 and earlier) is US $49. A free upgrade from ATM Deluxe 4.5 for Macintosh to ATM Deluxe 4.6 for Macintosh is available from the Support section of the company’s Web site. Adobe, of San Jose, Calif., can be reached at http://www.adobe.com.

Prices listed are in US currency.
