2015 CIO of the Year – Public Sector – Lydia Lee

PUBLIC SECTOR WINNER: LYDIA LEE

Lydia Lee won the 2015 CIO of the Year award (Public Sector) for having aligned multiple objectives to successfully implement new solutions to help to keep the University Health Network (UHN) at the forefront of patient care in Canada.

Along with being a Partner, National Digital Health Lead, Management Consulting for KPMG Canada, Lee is the Senior Vice President and CIO for the University Health Network (UHN), a leading multi-site teaching hospital in Toronto specializing in acute care, rehab care, complex continuing care and long-term care. In this role, she provides strategic leadership in the areas of information management, information technology, privacy, medical engineering and human factors engineering support services. Lee serves in several leadership roles focusing on clinical integration, performance improvement, patient safety and health system redesign. Lee was formerly Past President of the Board of Directors of COACH, Canada’s Health Informatics Association, a national association dedicated to developing and promoting health informatics professionals and leadership within the Canadian health system.
