Apple Inc. is poised to unveil the latest iteration of its iPad tablet device in two weeks according to several technology blog sites.

The Apple-designed 64-bit A7X system-on-a-chip (SoC) processor, slightly different from the one that appeared in the iPhone 5S, will be embedded on the new tablet. Apple will also be testing it Touch ID fingerprint sensor on its latest iPad, according to other reports.

Other prognosticators believe Apple will also introduce a second-generation iPad Mini with a Retina-quality display, said the technology publication,
