Microsoft’s long awaited Windows 7 beta is finally available for public download. Here is a compilation of information you will need to understand what’s new and different in Microsoft’s new OS and decide whether the much trumpeted Vista replacement is for you.

Windows 7 beta was released last Friday afternoon, but the massive user response caused Microsoft’s servers to buckle under the heavy Web traffic.
