WIC Connexus announced it will be working with Cisco Systems Canada Co. on a broadband fixed wireless network in Canada, even though an announcement was made last summer indicating Newbridge Networks Corp. would be WIC’s partner in the deal.

WIC Connexus is keeping quiet about the details, and analysts are not clear on what really happened either.

“We are as confused about this as Newbridge is,” said Iain Grant,

managing director of the Yankee Group in Canada in Brockville, Ont.
