Visionapp unveils virtualized management system

Visionapp AG has announced an end-to-end virtualized application delivery management system aimed at IT managers looking to automate the creation and management of virtualized servers.

The Frankfurt, Germany-based firm said its Visionapp Server Management (vSM) tool gives companies stability and consistency when deploying their virtualized environments. The vSM system – which is based on Visionapp’s Application Delivery Management suite (vADM) and supports Microsoft and Citrix-based technologies – was unveiled at this week’s Citrix Synergy 2008 conference in Houston.

As part of its end-to-end system, the company also unveiled the Visionapp Workspace Management (vWM) system, which provides users the ability to access applications regardless of how they are delivered or located. This includes Citrix-published, Microsoft-published or Web-based files and applications, which are delivered from the office or remotely.

Visionapp also said its next release will add the ability to manage hosted desktops.
