Software checks for missed discounts

Apex Analytix has announced version 7.2 of its FirstStrike software, which is designed to hel retailers detect and recover missing discounts and overpayments.

The Greensboro, N.C.-based vendor unveiled the software updates at the National Retail Federation Conference and Expo in New York. Version 7.2 has new reporting capabilities that consolidate claims status and cash flow information from across a company’s payment systems. It also has a scan allowance function, which looks for records of suppliers’ promotional discounts.

Software wizards in the program let retail auditor view, create, edit and filter groups of items involved in claims. It also lets users process claims for missed discounts.

The FirstStrike Accounts Payable and Purchasing Platforms work as a central data repositories, taking information from SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, J.D. Edwards and GEAC systems. The software is available either as an annual subscription or as a licence.
