The Cheetah 15K.6 drive is available in 450 GB, 300 GB and 147 GB versions.The Scotts Valley, Calif.-based manufacturer claims the drive, which has perpendicular recording, is 61 per cent more energy-efficient than previous drives, in both idle and operational modes.More storage news from TechworldStorage trade group gets green makeover It is targeted at both servers and enterprise storage hardware. Seagate claims the drive has 1.6 million hours mean time before failure.
