Raidtec launches NAS file server

Raidtec Corp., a company that specializes in storage networking technology, has a new addition to its NAS family of File Server Appliances: the SNAZ-E6, a Gigabit Ethernet file server.

It allows simultaneous heterogeneous access for Mac, Windows and Unix users. The SNAZ E6 is optimized for workgroup and departmental installations and is available with 480GB, 720GB or 960GB of storage capacity with Hot removable and Hot spare ATA drives and further expansion options through LVD SCSI or Fibre Channel SAN.

Featuring 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet LAN connections as standard and LVD SCSI for backup devices, SNAZ E6 provides over 300Mb a second sustained data throughput to accommodate today’s busiest networks, according to Noel May, CEO of Raidtec.

SNAZ E6 is available to order immediately and has a suggested list price starting at US$5,995. A site license for FlashLinux, Raidtec’s embedded NAS Operating System is included.
