Oracle Corp. last week released two new packages of software and services designed to help companies quickly implement financial management and human resources/payroll applications. The two offerings are the latest additions to Oracle’s FastForward family, and include pre-configured Oracle applications as well as consulting, education and support services. The packages aim to get companies up and running with ERP (enterprise resource planning) applications rapidly. Oracle FastForward Online Financials is based on several existing Oracle software modules including Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Payables, Oracle Assets and Oracle Tutor for Financials. Oracle FastForward Human Resources/Payroll is also based on pre-configured Oracle software modules. The new financials module will be also available in a hosted form from Oracle Business Online, the company’s applications hosting unit, or as a software suite that can be implemented at a customer’s site. Pricing for FastForward Online Financials starts at US$140,000 for 10 named users, while pricing for FastForward Human Resources/Payroll begins at $335,000 for 500 employees, Oracle said.
