North America a Big Target for Siemens

Siemens AG recently created a new Information and Communication mobile business unit, and has been very involved in the whole wireless scene. But according to the company, the North American wireless situation is far behind the rest of the world. Network World Canada contributor Linda Stuart and staff writer Cindy Steinman recently had the opportunity to speak with Andreas Mueller-Schubert, the vice-president of the Information and Communication division for Siemens Canada Ltd., as well as Volker Jung, chairman of the Supervisory Board Infineon Technologies AG, who was visiting Canada from Germany. Jung is also a member of the company’s Corporate Executive Committee. Both discussed Siemens’ wireless strategy for Canada as well as what the new division will be doing.
