Remember that classic line from the Charles Dickens novel, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times?” Yeah, yeah, so it’s an overused quotation, but I swear I’ve heard clients say the same thing when describing their relationship with IT consultants.
Only, it really doesn’t have to be that way (the worst of times stuff I mean) – a little common sense and a pragmatic attitude will go a long way when you’re working with consultants.
