Group strives to create standards for 3D on the Web

Defining, developing and deploying a common format to represent 3D images on the Web is the challenge being addressed by the Computer Aided Design (CAD) 3D Working Group. The group is one of a number of working groups that focus on specific projects as part of the Web3D Consortium, a forum for the creation of open standards for Web 3D specifications.
