last month announced the availability of its Novell Account Manager 2.1 software, designed to allow customers to integrate Windows 2000 into corporate networks. Account Manager enables network administrators to tie their disparate operating systems together into a single, unified network, accoring to the company. It also includes the ability to simplify administration of network services. Licenses for Novell Account Manager 2.1 are priced at approximately $38, and are now available. Security solutions provider VASCO recently introduced authentication remote access security for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000. The offering was developed by Indentikey, a security company purchased by VASCO in early April. According to the company, the VASCO Indetikey offering is easily installed and integrated with Exchange Server, and providesd authentication by replacing usernames and passwords. Instead, the product provides a single authentication method,a s well as a virtual single sign-on for MS Exchange mailbox access. Based in Chicago, VASCO is on the Web at www.vasco.com.

IBM Corp.

announced the launch of its DB2 database software, version 7.2. According to the firm, the new version includes enhanced integration capabilities with WebSphere Application Server and MQSeries, and offers access to expanded data sources including rival database products such as Aracle, Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server.
