Decimal buys finance vendor Amadeus

Amadeus International Inc. of Quebec City has been acquired by Decimal, a Longeuil, Que.-based consulting firm.

Decimal said Wednesday it has reached an agreement to acquire “the majority of Amadeus’ tangible and intangible assets,” including its corporate offices.

Amadeus’ products include Enterprise Quality and Compliance Management, a Web-based software designed to help companies comply with financial reporting regulations, including Bill 198 and the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley laws.

eQCM automates proceses such as document management, business intelligence, complaints management, auditing and training.

Decimal’s consulting services include advise on budget planning, cost management, profitability analysis, governance and business intelligence. The company said the Amadeus acquisition will give it source code to eQCM and more clients. Decimal said it has signed employment contracts with the majority of Amadeus workers.
