CIRA names new prez

The Canadian Internet Registrations Authority announced today the appointment of its new president and CEO, former coalition loyalty program COO Byron Holland.

Holland will continue to serve on the board of directors at Futura Rewards as he heads the not-for-profit that runs Canada’s .ca Internet domain name registry. He was chosen after an extensive nation-wide search, and will take over from Ron Harbottle, the interim Chief Operating Officer, who’s retiring after eight years of service.
