Carrier Briefs

Bell Mobility Inc.

is getting personal with its mobile Internet browser, thanks to a partnership with MobileQ Inc. The latter firm builds an “application profiling engine” – called MyScape – which lets users customize the look and feel of their wireless Internet menus. This new service is available by PC at Bell Mobility’s Web site (http://www.bellmobility.ca/active/care). Here Bell’s mobile Internet subscribers can make the aesthetic changes, which appear on their Web-enabled PCS phones. Bell figures that customers will enjoy the chance to make their favourite Web sites that much more accessible. Mobile Q says it hopes other carriers recognize the benefits of personalization.
