Ortronics Inc., a network infrastructure builder in New London, Conn., is updating its Clarity 6 line of gear. The company in July said its new Clarity 6 Series II modules employ low-emission IDC contacts and a standard 110 impact tool for quick termination of Category 6 cable, although the modules are also backward-compatible through Cat 5e, Cat 5 and Cat 3. As well, Ortronics expanded its Clarity 6 patch panel line with eight-port modules that use dual-reactance technology to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
