T2 rebrands with new name and features

Pebble, a new social media platform that launched in early 2023, has rebranded itself with a new name and features. The platform, which was originally called T2, is now available at pebble.is.

The company explained the name change in a message to its users, saying that it wanted a name that was “more unique and inspiring.” It also said that the new name reflects its commitment to building a community where people can share ideas and connect with others.

In addition to the rebrand, Pebble also launched a new feature called “Ideas.” This feature offers users post ideas based on their conversations, bio, and who they follow. Users can dismiss any suggestions they don’t like by tapping “ignore.”

Pebble allows users to post text, images, and videos, and it also has a For You feed that shows users content that it thinks they will be interested in. This makes it similar to Twitter.

On the other hand, Pebble offers quote posts, which Twitter does not. Quote posts allow users to share and comment on other users’ posts without having to retweet them.

Also, Pebble offers private DMs, which Twitter used to offer but no longer does. Private DMs allow users to send messages to each other that cannot be seen by other users.

Finally, Pebble is committed to open-sourcing its code. This means that anyone can contribute to the development of the platform and make suggestions for how it can be improved.
