Apple Mandates Facemasks Across U.S. Retail Stores

Tech giant Apple is introducing a new rule that ensures all employees and customers in the company’s retail stores wear masks.

This is part of the company’s pivotal effort to protect lives as cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in the United States.

Announcing the new development, the company said: “We regularly monitor conditions and we will adjust our health measures in stores to support the wellbeing of customers and employees.”

Apple’s latest update comes barely a month after the company scrapped the mandatory use of masks in more than 100 of its 270 stores in the United States.

At the moment, Apple is just one of many companies in the United States taking preventive measures to protect the lives of workers and customers; Google, for its part, has indefinitely suspended its planned return to the office on January 10; and JPMorgan Chase & Co has ordered unvaccinated workers in Manhattan to work from home.
