Sony halts PDA launches in Canada

In response to a lingering market, Sony of Canada Ltd. has announced it will hold off on launching its next generation of PDAs in Canada until the end of the year.

“We’re just reviewing that business segment and that business category,” explained John Challinor general manager, advertising and corporate communications at Sony of Canada in Toronto. “And if matters change, then we could take another look at it in terms of launching new products in the future.”

Sony has made the same decision in the U.S., and will hold off on any new launches there. While he was not able to speak for the rest of Sony’s subsidiaries around the world, Challinor indicated that in Japan, Sony will to continue with the introduction of Cli
