Second Rule upgrades gateways

Philadelphia-based Second Rule LLC has announced no-cost enhancements to its line of wired and wireless gateway products.

Effective immediately, the company will add all-Gigabit Ethernet hardware connections to its IP3 NetAccess X-Series line of products.. The company says this will increase throughput to 600 Mbps abd allow its top-of-the-line Xm model to handle up to 15,000 users.

Andrew Marchall, president and CEO of Second Rule, said in a statement that “100-megabit-capped products will not be adequate for networks planned for even the very near future … This enhancement is necessary to break away from the legacy limits of sub-100-megabit performance that has been the standard for products in this class.”
