Kevin Janzen, a network administrator at the University of Manitoba’s Bannatyne campus in Winnipeg, says it’s always a struggle to convince his superiors to invest in network technology. It’s not as if the higher-ups have trouble understanding the importance of the school’s communication infrastructure. But there are many voices competing for attention and myriad factors that go into the buying decisions.
