Phoenix unveils remote BIOS debugging lab

Phoenix Technologies Ltd. has launched a remote BIOS validation testing lab which aims to give customers easier access to Phoenix design expertise and speed the time to market for PC board manufacturers.

The Milpitas, Calif.-based company demonstrated the Phoenix Remote Debug Station (RDS) at this week’s Intel Developer Forum in China. With the RDS, Phoenix said customers can bring their development boards to any local Phoenix office, where BIOS experts can remotely connect to the board and complete the testing and validation process.

Phoenix said its customers will experience reduced time savings, a decrease in overall development costs and improved time to revenue.
