Ottawa firms develop tool for SharePoint

Macadamian Technologies has announced it has written a plug-in for Formark’s Ltd.’s collaboration software for Microsoft’s SharePoint Platform, designed to work with Microsoft Corp.’s SharePoint 2007 platform.

Ottawa-based Macadamian, which operates software development offices in Romania, Armenia and India, says it has completed a project for Formark’s Process-Driven Collaboration, a module for SharePoint 2007 designed to improve workflow and also works with Livelink, a document management software application made by Waterloo, Ont.-based Open Text Corp.

Formark, which is also based in Ottawa, says Process-Driven Collaboration can be used in processes such as new product development, case management, responses to requests for proposals, preparation of tender documents and loan reviews.
