Octasic teams with Mitel on echo cancellation

Octasic Inc. will provide echo cancellation for Mitel’s Inter-Tel 5000 and Axxess product lines.

The Montreal-based communications company said Mitel will use its media processing technology to offer clearer voice quality to its communication platforms.

“Our work with Mitel has provided the telecommunications industry with a cost effective solution,” Fabio Gambacorta, vice-president of sales at Octasic, said in a release. “Delivering high quality solutions has become one of the most vital elements needed to win in the communications market. We are proud to have played an integral role in Mitel’s design.”

Octasic also said its media gateway will offer increased system density, reduced cost and ultimately provide a better end-user experience for customers using Mitel products.
