New version of REALbasic debuts

REAL Software has released REALbasic 2007 Release 1, an updated version of its cross-platform software development environment for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems. REALbasic licensing starts at CDN$115, and this upgrade is free for registered users of the 2007 version. New to this update is improved reliability for Universal binary application building. Also improved is support for MySQL, PostgreSQL and ODBC-compliant databases like MS SQL Server. QuickTime support has been improved as well, along with making network connections via proxy servers. Available in both Standard and Professional versions, REALbasic 2007 lets you create software that will run on Mac OS X, Windows or Linux operating systems. Features include a window layout editor, code auto-completion and syntax colouring, native user interface controls for each platform and code assistants.
