Microsoft Corp. hopes to entice mobile phone users to its new Lumia 640 and the larger phablet, Lumia 640 XL with a bonus one-year free subscription to its personal cloud office suite, Microsoft Office 365.
The software company trotted out its latest affordable Windows devices at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today. Both products will ship in April of this year with Windows 8.1 and they can be ungraded to Windows 10.

A 3G 640 will be priced around US$200 while an LTE version will go for around $230.
The 3G version of the XL will sell for around $272 and the LTE for $315.
The Office 365 subscription comes with one terabyte of OneDrive cloud storage and 60 minutes of Skype service. The Office 365 subscription can be applied to one PC and one tablet. It works with iPad, Android and Windows tablet devices.
