Model-driven integration represents an evolution of the practice of developing applications and representing systems using standard constructions in a model, suggests a white paper from New York-based MetaMatrix. In their paper MetaMatrix suggest the precedent for model-driven integration is the use of UML, extended with Meta-Object Facility.
