MicroStrategy reveals Cloud Express

MicroStrategy Inc. has lite version of its Cloud business intelligence platform.

Called Cloud Express, it allows uses to subscribe to a service that will analyze data from Excel spreadsheets and Salesforce reports, as well as deploy mobile applications. This report from destinationCRM outlines some of the features.  Users, the company says, don’t have to write any code.

MicroStrategy offers a Web page comparing the three Cloud offerings it has. Cloud Express fits between the Personal service, limited to only one person, and the enterprise-sized MicroStrategy Cloud Platform, which can access full-sized relational databases.

The company says subscribers only pay for the services they use each month, so organizations can start small and grow their implementation over time. If needed, subscribers can migrate to full Platform services.

Cloud Express allows users to combine reports, dashboards and multimedia content into mobile reports for Apple’s iPad.
