Marathon Technologies unveils new server virtualization software

Marathon Technologies Corp. has announced the launch of fault-tolerant, high availability software aimed at Citrix XenServer customers.

The Littleton, Mass.-based company said everRun VM will prevent outages and data loss in XenServer infrastructures, allowing enterprises to reliably run applications on virtual machines as well as accelerate server virtualization adoption plans.

The software automates VM availability setup and configuration and gives users the flexibility to select availability protection for each VM they use. This means that IT administrators can match the right availability level for each application they run in the virtual environment.

Marathon said that everRun VM will remove the burden of availability for IT managers and make automated disaster recovery practical for medium and large-sized companies using virtualized environments.
