Hodgson: Ontario to Lead World in e-Government

Hoping to become a world leader in delivering public sector services over the Internet, the Ontario government has ordered all its ministries to be e-commerce ready by 2003.

“Our vision is that by 2003, Ontario will be a world leader in delivering servicesonline,” Management Board Chairman ChrisHodgson, told the more than 4,000 Ontariopublic sector employees who attended Showcase Ontario 2000 recently. (ManagementBoard is the ministry in charge of internalgovernment operations.)
