Forsythe aims at Canadian managed services market

Forsythe Solutions Group Inc. is making a more concerted effort to capture a portion of the Canadian managed services market by focusing on cost reductions and improved performance within enterprise IT departments.

Based in Skokie, Ill., Forsythe has quietly been growing its presence here, in part through the acquisition of another U.S. firm with a Canadian foothold, Information Security Technology Inc. (IST) of Minnesota. The firm has a 38-year track record in its home market, and is a key partner of both EMC, CheckPoint and Juniper Networks.

I recently met with Canadian company president Siobhan Byron to discuss how the local subsidiary has become the managed services hub for the entire organization, as well as trends around security and storage.
