Canadian firms partner for GroupWise-based CRM

A pair of Canadian firms are joining forces to make it easier to run customer relationship management applications through Novell’s Groupwise messaging platform.

Edmonton-based Omni Technology Solutions said it would extend support of its Riva CRM integration for GroupWise product to Ottawa-based Long Reach Corp.’s Info@hand CRM, a Web-based tool that combines CRM with business management features for accounting, ERP and e-commerce systems.

The two firms said the partnership will allow server-side, bi-directional synchronization of appointments, tasks, notes and contacts between info@hand and Novell GroupWise. Users of Riva will use a feature called ConnectBar that can run in a GroupWise e-mail client to look at customer opportunities imported through Info@hand. There are no modules to install on the info@hand CRBM server, on the GroupWise server or on the GroupWise clients, the companies said.

Users will be able to access Info@hand on all supported GroupWise clients, including BlackBerry and GroupWise Mobile Server devices, Mac OS X, Linux, Windows and GroupWise WebAccess.
