CA launches latest version of Antivirus

Computer Associates International Inc. Monday announced that its latest security solution not only effectively handles virus and malicious threats at the perimeter level, but covers mobile devices within the enterprise as well.

Islandia, N.Y.-based CA’s eTrust Antivirus version 7, which is powered by the company’s dual scanning engines to enable reliable protection against viruses, offers a Web-based management interface allowing for easier event tracking and automatic signature distribution across the enterprise.

As part of CA’s eTrust Threat Management layered solutions portfolio, Antivirus version 7 offers protection of mobile devices through its Roam About technology. According to the company, the Roam About feature reconfigures itself to deliver signature updates across the fastest network service available from any location.
