Burlington wireless network vendor names new exec

Burlington, Ont.-based Active Control Technology Inc. has named a new executive to lead a quality delivery program.

John Steckley joins the vendor of wireless network technology as vice-president of account management, a new structure in which account managers will be assigned to customers that have purchased or installed ActiveMine, a wireless communications and locating system for mines.

The account managers will be responsible for quality program delivery to ensure service excellence, maximize customer value and drive new revenue opportunities for Active Control, the company said.

Steckley has an extensive background in advanced technology construction, deployment and project management. Previously, he held the role of vice-president of sales with the company.

“Our new structure will ensure that each ActiveMine customer has an advocate who is fully dedicated to their satisfaction,” said Steve Barrett, president and CEO of Active Control Technology. “Under John Steckley’s leadership, the account managers will have the capability to deliver added value not only to our customers, but also to Active Control,” said Barrett.
