BT offers faster broadband service to ISPs

British Telecommunications PLC (BT) will offer a 1Mbps broadband service to its wholesale customers from Nov. 20, it said Wednesday.

BT has been running trials of the service with 50 Internet service provider (ISP) customers, reaching 1,500 end users, since October and “that went pretty well, so now we’re expecting orders to start flooding in,” spokesman David Orr said Thursday.
