Bell uses asset management software for field ops

Bell Canada is deploying asset management software across its field operations for both buried and aerial network interventions.

Mississauga, Ont.-based TelDig Systems on Thursday said Canada’s largest carrier would be using its product to tie together office resources, field technicians, excavators, inspectors as well as supervisors through virtual access to a central database.

TelDig Nexus will also electronically connect excavators to damage prevention call centres and integrate with CRM, technician dispatch, inventory control and billing systems, the company said.

Bell will be implementing the software throughout Ontario and Quebec, TelDig added.
