Is Apple building a curved iPhone?

Apple Inc. may be gearing up to follow Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Corp.’s lead and is said to be building its own curved smart phone.

Last month, Samsung rolled out its Galaxy Round smart phone with a curved touch screen. Several weeks later, LG introduced its G Flex, another smart phone with a curved display.

Now, just seven weeks after releasing its iPhone 5S and 5C, iPhone is developing new iPhone designs which will include larger screens and curved glass, according to a report from online business publication, Bloomberg.com.

The report said two new models are being planned for the second half of 2014.

The new handsets will have enhanced sensors that can detect different levels of pressure on the screens which will be 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. These will be the largest iPhones yet and will approach the dimensions of Samsung Galaxy’s 5.7 inch Galaxy Note 3.
