Early users of Microsoft tablets running Windows 8 are finding the new OS hard to navigate.
According to this ComputerWorld article,
they're finding the touch interface frustrating to use and many are opting to tap away on the devices' keyboards instead. And an analyst quoted in the article says that companies may need to offer training courses in the new operating system itself, not just mobile devices, before employees can learn to use it effectively.
"It is different enough so that if you are a long time Windows user, you will have to re-learn how to interact with the device," said Jack Gold, of J. Gold Associates.
The training could take up to two weeks, Gold added.
Meanwhile, Microsoft competitor Apple Inc. is assuring customers that the departure of its mobile software products chief, Scott Forstall,
will not have any negative effects on the future of iOS. Apple's head of hardware design, Jonathan Ive, will now take charge of software design for the platform as well, according to this SiliconValley.com article.
