All Hands on Tech – Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 review – rugged and modern tablet

Designed for industrial workers, this tablet joins Samsung’s family of devices that offer a modern Android experience while also being tested to stand up to military specifications for durability, including shockproof and water resistant qualities. For use in commercial settings ranging from health care to restaurants to construction, the tablet is rated IP68, so it can survive being dunked under water and dropped from a considerable height. Features like a “glove mode” that allow workers to still use the tablet make this ideal for field use. Its rear-facing 8 megapixel camera might not be an industry leader, but suffices for most situations. A replaceable battery also ensures that workers can keep using this device to complete their whole shift.
