Vendors team up to offer SIP service

Radware and IPTEGO GmbH have entered into an agreement to provide session initiation protocol (SIP) equipment for IP networks.

IPTEGO, a Berlin-based vendor, will offer carrier-grade products using Radware’s SIP Director. Tel Aviv-based Radware last month unveiled SIP Director, which performs a wide variety of functions, including health monitoring, failover and disaster recovery. Its SIP proxy supports the UDP, TCP and TLS protocols.

The vendors say the partnership will let carriers deliver SIP service to millions of users.

IPTEGO makes the UniverSIP platform, which lets carriers provide services such as fixed and mobile advertising, event notification, conferencing, announcements and managed security.
