Oki Data now offers PaperCut management

Organizations with Oki Data multifunction and single function printers have another software management solution available from the manufacturer.

The company said Monday its partners are reselling PaperCut MF, a print job accounting and management software that works for its regular multifunction and open platform MFPs.

PaperCut MF can be combined with card reader systems to give better control over the use of printers to cut costs and ensure unauthorized printing is eliminated, Oki Data said. The software can enforce individual print limits, require duplex printing, force black and white printing and redirect large print jobs to high-volume copiers.

PaperCut features include:

–“Find Me” Secure Print Release, which protects the privacy of confidential documents while reducing the amount of unclaimed printouts. “Find Me” lets users retrieve a printed document from a PaperCut MF enabled device by swiping a card or entering a user name or password;

–iPad and driverless Web printing;

–Mobile Print Release, which lets an enabled smart phone release queued print jobs;

–Detailed reporting. More than 50 pre-formatted reports are available for online viewing, printing or exporting including summaries by user, department, device or environmental impact;

–Embedded device support for other copiers and MFPs

PaperCut MF comes in three versions: Commercial, Education and Professional Billing.
Last week Oki said that is CX3535/CX4545 A3 copier-based colour multifunction devices are now available here. The are said to offer exceptional colour output, plus high-speed print, scan, copy and optional fax functionality for medium- to large-sized workgroups.
The CX3535/CX4545 models combine versatility, security and energy-efficiency with the ability to streamline document workflow processes through the consolidation of office equipment into a single device.
Standard configurations include two paper trays able to hold 550 sheets each, reversing automatic document feeder (RADF) and a bypass tray of 100 sheets. A 550-sheet paper feed pedestal and 2,500-sheet large capacity feeder are also part of the standard configurations for the CX3535 and CX4545 models.
