Nortel and 724 Solutions partner on enterprise to mobile messaging

Nortel will be using the Seamless Messaging technology of 724 Solutions Inc., a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based mobile data technology provider originally situated in Toronto.

The partnership should enable seamless routing of messages between the enterprise network and the mobile network. Messages are seamlessly sent to the device used by the enterprise subscriber in a format that allows them to be delivered into the standard clients available on those devices.

The technology also delivers voice mail alerts to users present in the mobile messaging network, through integration with Toronto-based Nortel’s CallPilot Unified messaging platform.
