New D-Link PoE switch for SMB budget

Small to medium-sized business looking seeking to extend network connections to hard-to-reach locations can use D-Link Canada’s Power over Ethernet (PoE) network switch that grants enterprise features while meeting small budgets.

The Oakville, Ont.-based networking vendor released D-Link xStack DGS-3426P, a stackable managed Layer +2 switch that can interstack with other products of the xStack 3400 line.

It’s embedded with D-Link’s Single IP Management (SIM) capacity, the switch can be part of a virtual stack with other SIM-enabled devices, allowing up to 32 devices managed under a single IP.

According to Jerry Balice, vice-president of technology for D-Link Canada, the xStack 3400 line provides performance typically found in more expensive chassis-based offerings. “The xStack DGS-3426P delivers performance, flexibility, security, multi-layer Quality of Service (QoS), PoE conveniences and redundant power options that are ideal for SMBs or any growing business,” he said.
